How do I apply to Scott Village?
Starting Fall 2013 all housing applications must be done online.
Go to housing.unomaha.edu/apply.php and follow the instructions on how to apply via Mavlink.
Be sure to rank Scott Village as your first choice!
Note: For all UNO housing, the application is not COMPLETE until you submit the $260.00 security deposit/lease-processing fee.

How long is the lease?
Scott Village offers annual leases only. The lease term is from August 1, 2013 to July 31, 2014.
When can I move in?
The scheduled move-in date for the 2013–2014 lease term is August 18, 2013. If you cannot move in on that date, that’s OK. We’ll help you with your move any time after that. Early move-ins are not available. If you have special needs, please contact Scott Village at 402–778‑6541.
When will I know my room and roommate assignment?
You can expect to receive your room assignments in late July. Assignments are based on the questionnaire you filled out in the lease packet.
Can I request a room or a roommate?
Room and roommate requests are made on your Roommate Request Questionnaire, which is mailed to you with your lease. All room and roommate requests must match or we will be unable to grant your request.
Please keep in mind that while we try to honor your room and roommate requests, we cannot guarantee all requests.
When are my payments due?
2013/2014
Payments are due as follows for the 2013/2014 Lease Term:
- Monthly payments begin on July 1, 2013, in the amount of $515.
- Semester payments are due on July 1, 2013, and December 1, 2013, in the amount of $3,030 each.
- Annual payments are due on July 1, 2013, in the amount of $5,940.
2012/2013
Payments are due as follows for the 2012/2013 Lease Term:
- Monthly payments begin on July 1, 2012, in the amount of $495.
- Semester payments are due on July 1, 2012, and December 1, 2012, in the amount of $2,940 each.
- Annual payments are due on July 1, 2012, in the amount of $5,820.
Why do I begin making rental payments in July?
All residents are required to stay one month ahead on the rent payments. If you stay on schedule, your final rent payment will be due June 1, 2014 for the lease running through July 31, 2014.
What are the payment plan rates?

Will I be sent a billing statement?
Billing statements are not mailed out. Please keep a copy of your lease agreement, as your billing dates are listed on the front page.

Where do I get my mail and packages?
Mailboxes are located in the Scott Village Commons Building. Residents receiving packages will have a package slip in their mailbox and can pick up their package at the Scott Village Office.
Is Scott Village a non-smoking facility?
Residents are not allowed to smoke inside their suites, or on balconies or patios. Smoking is permitted 10 feet away from each building.
What will I need to access the internet?
We provide the Internet. All you will need is a computer.
What size is my bed?
Beds are regular twin size, measuring 37″ by 80″.
How high does my bed loft?
Scott Village beds loft as low as 10″ and as high as 34″.
What do I need to bring?
Bring a backpack and school/desk items, laundry detergent and basket, toiletries and towels, bed linens and mattress pad (regular twin size), trash bin for your room and kitchen, tie trash bags to dispose of waste, desk lamp, living room lamp, alarm clock, kitchen cookware and dishes, and bike lock if you choose to bring a bike.
Discuss with roommates who is bringing: TV, stereo, iron and ironing board, kitchenware and dishes, kitchen towels, cleaning supplies and shower curtain and hooks.
What should I not bring?
Don’t bring halogen lights, weapons or firearms, fireworks, candles, grills of any kind, large nails (we prefer pins or very small nails), waterbeds, pets (except fish, but no tanks over 10 gallons) or alcoholic beverages.
Do I need a UNO parking permit to park at Scott Village?
Yes, and you can purchase parking permits at the Parking Department in the Eppley Administration Building on UNO’s Main Campus.
How do I find Scott Village?
Whether you are coming from the east or west, you take the 72nd Street exit from Interstate 80. From the east, turn right (west, turn left) onto 72nd Street. Go approximately 1 1/2 miles to Pine Street (first light near the QuikTrip gas station). Turn right and continue until you see the Scott Residence Hall and Conference Center on the left. Proceed, and Scott Village will be located on your left.
How do I get an access card to enter my building and parking lot?
Your MavCard will be activated for Scott Campus upon move-in.
Is it necessary to have a meal plan when living at Scott Village?
No. Meal plans are optional. Scott Village suites have full kitchens, so residents can prepare meals in their suite. If you’d like, you can purchase a meal plan for Scott Café right next door.
How many meal plans are there to choose from?
Meal plans are available from Scott Café. The 2011–2012 rates are as follows:
- Unlimited Meal Plan – $1,299 per semester
- 10-Meal/Week Plan – $899 per semester
- 20-Meal Plan – $135 per card
- Pre-Paid 50 Meal Card — $330 per card
- Pre-Paid 100 Meal Card — $625 per card
