How long is the lease?

Scott Residence Hall is a nine-month lease which is fall and spring.

When can I move in?

Please review your lease agreement for your term start date. Early move-in requests must be directed to leasing@scottcampus.com.

When will I know my room and roommate assignment?

Roommate matching will be conducted through RoomSync and links will be sent in April to students with complete leases. Roommate information and room placements will be sent in July and students will be periodically updated if there are changes.

Where do I get my mail and packages?

Mailboxes are located in the entrance area of Scott Residence Hall. Residents will receive an email when a package arrives.

The University of Nebraska at Omaha is a smoke and tobacco-free University which includes all student housing.

What will I need to hook up my computer?

We provide the Internet. All you will need is your computer.

What size is my bed?

Beds are regular twin size, measuring 37" by 80".

Does my bed loft?

We provide full-size loft-kits, and we can help you loft your bed when you move in.

What do I need to bring?

Bring a backpack and school/desk items, laundry detergent and basket, toiletries and towels, bed linens and mattress pad (regular twin size), trash bin for your room and kitchen, tie trash bags to dispose of waste, desk lamp, living room lamp, alarm clock, kitchen cookware and dishes, and a bike lock if you choose to bring a bike.

Discuss with roommates who is bringing: TV, stereo, iron and ironing board, kitchenware and dishes, kitchen towels, and cleaning supplies.

What should I not bring?

Don’t bring halogen lights, weapons or firearms, fireworks, candles, grills of any kind, large nails (we prefer pins or very small nails), waterbeds, pets (except fish, but no tanks over 10 gallons) or alcoholic beverages.

Do I need a UNO parking permit to park at Scott Residence Hall?

Yes, and you can purchase parking permits at the Parking Department in the Eppley Administration Building on UNO’s Main Campus or online through your Mavlink.

How do I find Scott Residence Hall?

Whether you are coming from the east or west, you take the 72nd Street exit from Interstate 80. From the east, turn right (west, turn left) onto 72nd Street. Go approximately 1 1/2 miles to Pine Street (first light near the QuikTrip gas station). Turn right and continue until you see the Scott Residence Hall and Conference Center on the left.

How do I get an access card to enter the residence hall and parking lot?

Access cards will be activated upon move-in. When you pick up your MavCard, make sure to tell them that you are a Scott Hall resident.

What about meal plans?

An unlimited meal plan is included with your residence lease contract at Scott Hall. You can dine at Scott Café anytime during operating hours.
